Equal Opportunity Cell

Mission: To promote equity, diversity, and inclusion, ensuring equal opportunities for all students, faculty, and staff, regardless of their background, gender, caste, religion, or ability.

Objectives:

  1. Prevent discrimination and harassment based on gender, caste, religion, disability, or other forms of bias.
  2. Foster an inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes equal opportunities.
  3. Provide support and resources for marginalized groups, including SC/ST, OBC, minorities, and persons with disabilities.
  4. Organize workshops, training, and awareness programs to sensitize the college community on equal opportunity issues.
  5. Address grievances and complaints related to discrimination and harassment through a fair and confidential process.

Functions:

  1. Develop and implement policies and programs to promote equal opportunities.
  2. Conduct workshops, seminars, and training sessions on diversity, inclusion, and gender sensitization.
  3. Provide counselling and support services for students and faculty from marginalized groups.
  4. Monitor and address incidents of discrimination and harassment.
  5. Collaborate with government agencies and NGOs to promote equal opportunity initiatives.
